My Mission
I began The Jaixai Series in 2009 as a way to preserve my Laotian culture, stories and traditions for my daughter and for the generations that follow. Growing up, books opened the door to new worlds for me and I wanted to offer that same gift to others through stories rooted in love, understanding and connection.
As I began sharing my books in classrooms, I saw children’s curiosity come alive. Introducing Lao traditions, clothing, food and everyday life in a way that parents and educators could embrace, helped to foster a culture of appreciation and open young minds to discovering the beauty of other cultures. Everyone’s history and heritage deserves to be preserved, taught and remembered.

Though separated by thousands of miles, Laos and Armenia share several defining characteristics. Both are landlocked nations whose histories have been shaped by their geography, resilient cultures and enduring struggles for sovereignty.
